Can't Take Much More

I hate being sick. I'm rethinking this whole nanny thing, I can't take it anymore! The kids are great, for the most part. But I can't take being sick anymore. Those little snot balls are keeping me like this. I can feel myself dying, starting with my mouth and moving to the rest of my body.  My tongue gets dry and disgusting because I can't breath out my nose which makes my tonsils swell, and my throat hurt. I can feel something rattling around in my chest when I breath like the ball bearings they put in spray paint cans. My voice sounds like an old Jewish man's, and I just feel greasy all the time no matter how freshly showered I am. And perhaps the worst although it affects me very little - the horrible snoring! I feel bad. But I can't really breath, so of course things get complicated once I'm asleep. All in all I'm pretty miserable right now. I haven't been this sick in months, I've actually had a pretty good last year health wise, and this just sucked all the life out of me. Dime's been extra protective and cuddly cute. But I'm just trying to stay out of everyone's face. I don't want to get anyone else sick.

So it's probably good I'm just staying home and laying low all day. I'm gonna camp out on the couch and watch cartoons with my cough drops and kleenexs. Fingers crossed I feel better tomorrow and I can go to work. I need the money. I need to make a trip to Michael's very soon.

So I hope everyone is well out there in the world. I hope Tody is warm and healthy at his house. I'll be here with my trusty stuffed elephant trying to recoop as quickly as possible. I took some pictures to cheer myself up.

Need To Recharge

So I did finish a painting last night as promised, I just can't show you yet. I know that sounds bad. But due to some increased outings lately I've been low on funds for my camera. So no batteries yet. But I promise soon. It's sort of imperative to a photo blog to actually have photos on it. So new ones soon. Pinky swear.

Good thing I never post my entire folder... just my favorite sets. I have plenty of things to show you while we wait for me to get paid again.

Here's a reminder of what it's like to be young...

That went on for far longer than I was interested in it. But that never detoured him. He was an unstoppable force, and I loved that. Too many people lack that child like resilience to run on even after everyone else has lost interest. He persevered, and was rewarded in the end by taking a long nap... So really it was great for me too.

From Back In The Day

for the past month or so I have been diligently organizing all the pictures I upload in Bridge right after I edit them which usually is right after I upload them. But that doesn't fix the thousands of pictures I have so carelessly littered in the most absurdly random folders on my computer in the past. So for the past three weeks or so I have been exploring the seemingly endless file trails on my computer. And I have come to the conclusion either I have been terribly retarded when I am uploading, or something is seriously wrong with my computer. I found lost picture folders from years ago in many driver files. And I keep stumbling across lone pictures stuck in music or video folders.

But all in all I am enjoying finding all my old pictures. And what tickles me even more is comparing them to my most recent ones. Not only have I improved by leaps and bounds, but it's actually quite easy to see that, because I am still shooting the same stuff. That little fact is delighting me and making me sad at the same time. I like that I can look at my pictures that are years apart but virtually almost the same shot, just maybe a little straighter or in focus. My interests and what I am naturally attracted to hasn't changed. I just know how to show it to you guys better. That part that makes me a bit sad is I lack progress. I want to branch out and explore more beauty in my life. I need to show you guys more than Seattle and my backyard and my pets. I started this blog to share everything I love with the world, and there is much more to me than those things. I love my life everyday, I love the silly little mundaneness's that usually get over looked in a day and I love the huge sweeping gestures that get remembered for years to come.

Here are some old found gems.
